Pleasures of Beefy!Bucky
(Headcanon) Pairing: Bucky Barnes x gender neutral!reader
Words:Â 700+
Warnings:Â Mostly fluff with a tiny amount of smut. 18+ only.Â
A/N: This is for @the-ss-horniest-book-clubâ HBC Bucky Barnes Appreciation Days. This is my first time doing a headcanon. I donât really know the format of headcanons, but hope this does it. Hope you like it! Â
Beefy!Bucky, huh? Just imagining all that hard muscle on his beautiful body is such a sight.
Bucky, with his strong bulging arms hugs you from behind any chance he can get, kissing your neck in the sweetest of manners before lodging his chin on your shoulders. His hands bring you closer to his body, sinking you into himself, cocooning you in his loving embrace. He is content in simply staying like that, having his best girl, his whole world really, safe and sound in his arms.
Every time while you sleep, he loves to hold you in his arms. It is a gentle reminder that everyday you choose to allow him to do so, that everyday you love him and trust him enough to be near you, with you even in your most vulnerable times.Â
When he is the big spoon, his beefy arms lay comfortably around your middle, your back pressed against his hard chest.Â
When he is the small spoon, he sleeps better with his head leaning on your chest. As your fingers course through his hair, his arms curl around your form then too, because that man just can't get enough of you.
Talking about hard and bulging, let's not forget about that impressive cock of his. Not only does he have good tools, but he knows how to use them as well. The length of his buddy is just the perfect size, but his girth - oh damn lord his girth! He stretches you open good and well every single time. It brings you the just the right amount of pain with loads and loads of pleasure. The drag of those protruding veins on his girthy member feels no less than heaven against your walls. You love to suck that mushroom head of his cock like a lollipop just as much as you like being impaled on it.
Sometimes when he's being a tease, Bucky buries his thick cock inside your warmth but does not move. Whether in bed or on the couch or in his study, he simply keeps you there, neither moving himself nor allowing you. His strong arms press down on your waist, keeping you in place. That little shit loves watching you bite your lips and squirm as his cock fills you and stretches you completely.Â
When he takes mercy on both you and himself, he finally pistons his hips inside you to bring you the most pleasurable reliefs. His cock releases a promising amount of load from his heavy balls inside you, so much so that they start leaking through the sides along with your juices. But he doesn't pull out. And you love every fleeting second of it.
And oh those thick thighs of his. He loves having you sit on them, no matter what. Youâre worried that you might hurt him, but he assures you that he is a super soldier and simply you in his arms and on his lap would do opposite of hurting him.
Beefy!Bucky is just as protecting as he is loving. Any man, or woman for that matter, dares to look at you the wrong way and Bucky is sure to subtly flash them his lovely biceps, specially the black and gold vibranium arm, and his hard abs with something more unforgiving than fire burning bright in his eyes. He knows that you can protect yourself and fight your own battles. He is proud of you, but he just can't stop himself. Those eyes never dare to look at you the wrong way again.
And he is just as jealous and insecure as he is protective. Sometimes when others he thinks you may find attractive cross his path, he unconsciously puffs out his strong built chest. His already broad shoulders broaden a little more. Though sometimes he flexes his muscles consciously, and he loves every bit of it. When you happen to notice it, you coo at him adorably, your hands circling his neck and assuring him that he has nothing to fear. That you love him and he's the only one for you. That even if his body hadn't been as beefy as he it is, you'd still love him the same. You'd tell him that his beefy body is a rainbow on the side with his heavenly soul that you have the pleasure of knowing. You'd kiss him tenderly, which heâd return with just as much warmth and passion.

Your Professorâs Shirt
Pairing: Professor! Bucky Barnes x Reader
Words: 1360
Warnings: 18+ Only! Smut, sex, dirty talk, flirting, cursing and a little bit of fluff.
A/N: Itâs Professor! Bucky day with @the-ss-horniest-book-clubâââ! This idea was inspired by the song T-Shirt by The Beaches. So, I took my idea and ran with it. Hope you enjoy! Thank you all for readingđ
Please do not click âkeep readingâ if you are under 18! Thank you.
* * * *
You left your t-shirt at my apartment
I'm not giving it back, I'm not giving it back
You walked into the lecture wearing a casual outfit, nothing fancy, definitely nothing to write home about, but you knew your professor would love it. And boy did he ever. You sat in the front row, as you usually did, in a pair of cute jeans and a t-shirt. An oversized shirt, tied in a knot at the waist, hanging low on one shoulder. Tons of girls wore shirts like this, but this one was different, and when Professor Barnes noticed you he blanked for a moment, mid sentence, blinking as he stared at you. You flashed him a sweet smile, batting your eyelashes and he quickly regained his composure after seeing the shirt you were wearing. His shirt.
He continued lecturing, making notes on the board, and asking questions, as he avoided glancing your way again for quite a while. Then you saw his eyes flick your way again, and you squirmed in your seat under his gaze, which to anyone else, looked like his normal face. But you knew that heat in his eyes, the twitch at the corner of his mouth, before he looked away and continued on.
As the class ended, you gathered your things and left with the crowd, not needing to stay after class today. You had a meeting with Professor Barnes in about half an hour, so you made your way through campus to drop off a few things before heading to his office.
The door was slightly open when you arrived, so you walked in, closing it with a soft click once you stepped inside. Then you turned the lock and walked slowly towards the desk.
âAh, there you are. Right on time.â Your professor looked up at you with that heat in his eyes again, and you gave him more of a devilish smile this time.
âHi Professor Barnes.â You pulled your bottom lip between your teeth, his eyes roaming over you and making you feel hot all over. You both liked it when you called him professor, even though he always told you to call him Bucky outside of class. Sometimes you liked to keep up the innocent act though. âDid you miss me?â
âMmm. Always.â You walked around the desk, setting your bag down on the floor and squealing when Bucky pulled you into his lap right away. He smirked when you wiggled on his lap, pulling you in for a heated kiss. When it broke, he licked his lips, humming again and looking up at you with a smirk. âNice shirt.â
âThank you, a boy left it at my house.â You giggled when he leaned in to kiss your neck, trailing his lips along your shoulder, the soft touch sending shivers through you. His voice was low when he spoke again.
âNow, whatâs a good girl like you doing having a boy over. Are you naughty?â Bucky pulled on the collar of the shirt, kissing along your collar bones. âI think you are. Naughty girl, wearing a boyâs shirt but not wearing a bra to class today. Are you tryinâ to drive me crazy?â His rands ran up your body, cupping your breasts and pinching your nipples through the shirt, as he nibbled your skin. âHad so many dirty thoughts I could barely focus on lecturing.â
âIâm sorry Professor,â you whined, rolling your hips against his lap and groaning as you felt his cock hardening under you. âI just couldnât stop thinking about his hands all over me, the feeling of his skin against mine, and when I saw this shirt, and it still smelled like him, I wanted it to touch all of my skin until I could see him again.â
Bucky groaned now, his hips twitching under yours and he whipped the shirt off over your head, tossing it onto the floor. His mouth descended to your chest, pulling your nipple into his mouth and sucking hard while his fingers undid your jeans. Your hands tangled into his hair with a cry, his mouth on your already sensitive nipples making you tingle.
âBucky please,â you gasped. âI need you again I canât wait.â He looked up at you, pupils blown wide and hair messed up from your fingers and you moaned at the sight, rushing to undo his pants too before you made a mess all over them. There was a scramble as Bucky shoved his pants down and you kicked yours off, then you were hauled back into his lap again, your hips pulled flush against his as his thick cock rubbed through your soaking folds.
âBaby youâre so wet. Is this what you think about during my classes? Bout riding my cock in my office?â You nodded your head, whimpering as he pushed into you. âYouâre a dirty girl,â he growled in your ear, his hips jerking as you both tried to find the perfect pace.
âYouâre a bad boy,â you sassed back. âStaring at my tits during your class. Thinking about licking and pinching them and filling me up.â You tisked, yelping as his hand came down on your ass, and he groaned from the subsequent squeezing you gave his cock.
âAh baby, youâre gonna be the death of me. You know I can never wait to bury myself in that perfect pussy of yours. FuckâŚâ He breathed more curses and his thrusts sped up, pushing deep into you, stretching you out, and you whined at the feeling of him dragging in and out of you. You wanted to curl around him but also spread yourself out as far as you could, just so he could have every inch of you.
Clutching at his shoulders, your head fell back while you rode him, bucking your hips harder against him as he trusted, and you could tell he was trying to keep quiet.
âCanât wait to hear you later,â you teased, raking your hands through his hair again and tugging gently. Bucky groaned again, a low rumble that you felt vibrate through you.
ââM gonna fuck you so good later baby, when I can take my time with you and make you fall apart for me.â The coil was tightening in your belly and you bounced on his lap faster, bringing your hand down to rub your clit while Buckyâs hands clutched your hips, rocking your body against his. âYeah thatâs it baby, you gonna cum for me? Cum for me on my lap, in my office, like a bad girl? So naughty baby but so fuckinâ good for me.â His words were punctuated by his thrusts, his pace slowing and faltering as he came, spilling inside you with a strangled groan. Dragging your face down to his, he kissed you hard, riding out the waves of his orgasm as you pushed yourself over the edge too, clenching around him and milking his cock with a drawn out, desperate whine.
Collapsing against him with a shuddering breath, Â the two of you sat in a comfortable silence for a few moments before Bucky started chuckling.
âYouâre such a tease. I canât believe you showed up today in my fucking shirt with no bra on. Shit baby.â You giggled back, wiggling on his lap and making him hiss. He grabbed a handful of your ass, and you nearly squealed. âI love when you come to my lectures though.â
âI love watching you teach, baby,â you mused. âI wonder if any of your students ever wonder who the fuck I am.â You giggled again, grabbing his face and kissing him sweetly, but still burning up for him. He smiled and pulled you close once more before you needed to climb off his lap to redress.
âIâll see you at home later,â he said, kissing the top of your head as you both straightened out your clothes.
âCanât wait baby. Can you pick up dinner on your way?â
âOf course.â One more kiss, and then it was time for him to head back to class. You hummed at the feeling of his t-shirt against your skin again, so soft, but you couldnât wait to feel his skin against yours again later that night at home.

âSkye, come on! Why the hell did you drive off to the middle of damn nowhere?â
âJust trust me.â She says calmly as she parks the car, completely ignoring my outburst in the process. âAnd stop complaining, Y/N/N. I know you had another fight with your dad, so I know you wanted to be out of the city.â
âFine, ok. But what is going on? Iâm guessing Ward has no idea what youâre doing.â
âYouâre not serious, right? You know he hates me doing anything remotely dangerous.â
âNot that Iâm against going behind your boyfriendâs back, but what did you do?â I ask my, running my fingers through my hair.
âSo, you know how Ward mentioned HYDRAâs top runner, Crossbones, the other day?â I nod. âWell, I got curious. We know nothing about him, and Ward thinks he can set a trap for him. I just, I just donât want him to get hurt when I could have done something.â
âAnd you know if you did this at the Bureau, heâd find out somehow and stop you. Or Gonzales would.â Now she nods. âAlright, but Iâm helping you with this. Iâve got a weird feeling about the whole thing and as your partner, itâs my job to keep you safe.â
âYou worry too much.â She chuckles. âBesides, Iâll practically be behind my computer screen the whole time. Nothingâs gonna happen.â
âYouâre right, I guess. Doesnât mean Iâll stop worrying though. And why are you still with Ward?â I groan dramatically, causing her to laugh.
âOh, be nice. Heâs not bad once you get to know him.â
âI donât know. Something about his arrogance just doesnât settle well with me.â I shrug.
âYouâre being over dramatic. Heâs great!â
âHe better be, he is dating my best friend after all. Now letâs find the next exit, Iâm hungry!â
Her laughter echoes in my head as the car moves along the highway.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I stomp through the halls on a mission. The office was empty, and disturbingly dark and stuffy for nine in the morning. If heâs not in his office thereâs only one other place I could imagine him in, his bedroom.
âPlease, donât kill me for this.â I mutter to myself before taking a deep breath and throwing the door open.
My eyes scan the room and zero in on the lump underneath the covers.
âGo away, Steve.â His usually pleasant rough voice is mixed with hints of sleep and something else. I canât help it that my inner self finds it sexy while I try to stay concerned rather than turned on.
Nowâs not the time for a daydream. Focus.
The door shuts with a soft click, giving him the impression âSteveâ left. You arenât that lucky today. Iâm no push over! My boot clad feet thud on the wooden floor as I march straight towards the end of the bed. With one strong grip at the end of the comforter, I yank the sheets off his body before turning towards the curtain clad windows.
âWhat the fuck is wrong with you?!â He screeches, trying to pull the blankets back up to cover himself from the cold air of the room. That was nothing. âHey! What the hell is this, Rogers?â I pull the curtains open; the intense sunlight illuminates the room causing even me to briefly squint.
After successfully finding a single blanket to cover back up with, I notice the fact that Barnes had curled himself into a human ball in the middle of his mattress to block out the light.
âOh, for fucks sake.â I groan, grabbing onto an edge piece of the fabric. âGet up, now!â
I try to yank it off him in one swift motion, again, but heâs faster than I thought. He springs up into a sitting position, latching on to the blanket I almost had off him, commencing a tug-of-war over the stupid thing. The muscles and veins in his arms flex and bulge, and in normal situations, Iâd be impressed. But Iâm getting irritated.
âYouâre an absolute child.â I grunt as I fight with him.
âLet go, you heathen.â He counters.
At his command, I let go, causing him to fly backwards and bounce slightly on the mattress.
âDangerous mob boss my ass.â I chide, crossing my arms as he just looks at me with disbelief.
âWhat do you want, Fury?â He groans, rubbing his eyes.
âToo much for you to comprehend at the moment but letâs start with this. How about you get your head out of your ass, get out of bed, and do your damn job?â
He scoffs, rolling his eyes.
âYou wouldnât understand, Fury. And youâre crossing a line here. Get out.â
âItâs Maximoff to you right now. And what donât I understand, Barnes?â I ask, ignoring his other remark.
âYou have some nerve, coming here, into my room. Now get out.â He growls, tossing the blanket away, exposing me to the fact that he sleeps only in a pair of boxers. Damn, suits really donât do his body justice, but damn does he look good in either.
âYou have some nerve thinking this doesnât concern me.â I snap back, regaining my focus, glad he didnât catch me staring or was too annoyed to notice.
âAnd how,â He starts, finally standing up and slowly walking towards me, âDoes this concern you?â
His muscles bulge as he crosses his arms, stopping at the foot of his massive king-sized bed. Though, there is an unsway of his body, and the shakiness that was in his hands that doesnât evade my attention. Where I once noticed stubble, an unkept beard lies in its place. His hair looks knotted, unwashed, and greasy. Overall, he looks like an absolute train wreck.
âHow does it not? Furthermore, how does it not concern you?! Barnes when did you last have a full meal, let alone showered!?â I exclaim, looking him over more closely. I can barely see the fact that heâs lost weight, but itâs there, itâs noticeable. The lack of a hot shower is more than just noticeable though.
He scoffs again.
âThis is none of your business. Leave.â
âStop being so fucking defensive with me. And this is my damn business, or have you forgotten the deal you have with my father? With Brooklyn on uneasy ground, especially after losing their last leader, youâre a target for HYDRA to attack. Not to mention the threat of the other mafia clans. And you know damn well that if my father has any idea that your alliance will cost him more than benefit him, heâll watch you be fed to the sharks. But it just so happens that his daughter is in your territory, which gives you just a bit more wiggle room. However, if you put me in danger, he wonât just watch, heâll feed you to the damn sharks himself!â
âI know!â He yells, walking closer to me.
âThen start acting like it.â I hiss.
âYou donât understand!â He argues, throwing his hands up in the air.
âUnderstand what?!â
âI canât do this without him!â
The room falls into silence, and I stare at him, stunned.
âOkay? I canât do this without my father. Yes, heâd been preparing me for years. But I always knew I could get advice from him or help if I needed it, once I took over. But this, all of this. I donât know how to lead my men; I donât know how prepare us. I donât even have time to grieve the fact my father, not my boss, is gone forever, and I donât know how to do this without him.â He chuckles dryly, hands on his hips. âI told you, you wouldnât understand.â And heâs turning away from me.
âYouâre wrong.â I cringe at how shaky and quiet my voice comes out.
âWhat?â
âYouâre wrong.â I repeat firmly. âTo think I donât understand.â The sting of tears forming in my eyes has me pausing to close them and take a deep breath.
When I open them again, Barnes faces me properly with a look of confusion and mild concern.
âNo one knows exactly what to do in these situations. But from one ally to another, you have your training, and the people you trust to help you figure it out. And you have your friends. It might not always work the way you planned, but nothing ever really does. You arenât the only one grieving the death of your father, the men also adored him. Keep that in mind.â I pause, watching him work through what I said to him. âBut donât you dare ever assume I donât understand grief.â I sneer. âOr how to continue on with the weight of it constantly on my shoulders. You donât know me. So donât act like you do.â He gapes at me, like a fish. âGet your shit together Barnes, and get to work.â
I walk out of his room as quickly as I can, letting the door slam behind me. Two corners later and I finally let myself slump against the wall. I gasp for air I didnât know I needed as I fight back the tears trying to escape. Itâs been six months! It was just a stupid dream! Get it together!
When my breathing returns to normal, I pull out my phone. The message from the unsaved number glares at me as I ignore it, again, and type out a message to another party.
âMeet me at the shore this afternoon. More details will be given soon. Bring the info you have gathered and donât tell the boss.â
The response is almost immediate.
âUnderstood. Heâs getting antsy about the report...â
I groan to myself as I push off the wall. Heâll just have to wait longer.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The zippers of my backpack nearly shriek as I pull both of them together quickly. Iâve been frustrated with my more legal job before, but this is something different.
Why the fuck are they making me go to a check in with the case officer this early? A month! Iâm supposed to have a month to gain traction and trust in the role they requested of me! They should know that it isnât safe to possibly expose an undercover operative at all, why would they risk it this early on?!
I growl to myself under my breath as I lace up my boots, aggravated that theyâre risking the objective of this mission. If I get made, my father will also lose the alliance, HYDRA might learn of my role in the government and go into hiding, and thatâs a lot of fuck up that doesnât need to happen. Gonzales better either know what heâs doing or have good intel for me.
I swing the backpack up on my shoulder, just as someone knocks on the door.
âGive me a second.â I call, letting the pack flop onto my bed.
Iâm surprised to find Natasha on the other side of the door, waiting with her arms crossed patiently.
âCome on in.â I say before she can speak, nodding to the inside of my room.
She raises an eyebrow in suspicion but walks in anyways. She turns to face me just and the door closes.
âAll I was going to say was that Barnes is requesting everyone to head to the warehouse, but Iâm guessing thereâs something else?â
I nod. âI got called for a check in.â I tell her with an eyebrow raised, not needing to tell her who Iâm referring to.
âThis soon?â
âIâm hoping to get something worth the risk for this, but my gut says otherwise.â
She hums to herself in thought as she processes.
âI can get you a cover this time.â She states sharply. âBut they need to get their act together. The cover might work just enough, but there are still people in here who donât trust you, yet.â
âThey might never.â I shrug. âBut I agree with your risk assessment. Iâm prepared to chew out whoever it is.â
She smirks, then motions towards my door. âGet to the warehouse and leave your things here for now. Iâll make the arrangements.â
I give her a small smile before weâre both walking off in different directions.
The warehouse is packed with people, many of which I donât recognize, all of whom are engaging in loud conversations. I begin to push my way through the crowd, though I donât make it too far as I feel a hand grab onto my arm. When I turn towards the pull, Drax smiles at me, motioning for me to follow him. I laugh quietly to myself as people practically jump out of Draxâs way. When we stop, I spot Carol not too far away and walk over to her.
âFor the record,â She says, not even looking at me. âThis is odd for us too.â
âIs this everyone?â I ask, confused.
She scoffs. âNo, there are still those on patrols or jobs that arenât here. But Iâm sure theyâll be brought up to speed, on whatever this is, later.â
I hum as an answer, my eyes scanning the crowd of faces, seeing who Iâll recognize. I just make out Rollinsâ silhouette as the voices begin to fall silent. Barnes stands in front of the gathering on a small platform, Rogers and Wilson flank him on either side. He looked a lot better than what I saw earlier. His beard trimmed back to a five oâclock shadow, his hair washed, brushed, and tied into a small bun behind his head, and there was strength in his body showing that he was able to eat since I last saw him. If I hadnât seen him this morning, I wouldnât have believed anything was wrong in the first place.
Standing behind the three mafia men, I see Barton, the two Odinson brothers, and five other men and one woman that I donât recognize. Natasha casually merges in with the group at the last second.
âMany of you have taken note of my absence recently.â Barnes starts talking, his voice booming across the warehouse, commanding everyoneâs full attention. It sends a thrill down my spine that I suppress. âAnd I am aware of the rumors that have been spreading regarding such absence.
âI was reminded earlier today that I was as close to my father as he was with many of you, maybe just a little closer. And yes, Iâve been grieving. But that grief has not blinded me to the enemy that is still out there, just as it has not blinded you.
âThe enemy that has let their guard down because HYDRA thinks it has weakened us!â Grumbles of disapproval make him pause. âBut they have not weakened us! This clan, this family, is not weakened by the grief of our leader. We are angered, enraged, that they dare try to cross us.â He pauses, listening to the murmurs of agreement of his people. âThey have no idea what awaits them. Since the fall of George Barnes, theyâve expected us to kneel before them, begging for mercy. But they will be the ones begging. Their days are number because we will find them, and we will bury every last one of them as we watch HYDRA burn!â
The men begin to shout out their support, the roar almost sounds deafening to my ears, but I follow their lead, yelling with them. Barnes holds up his hand, and the crowd silences.
âGet a move on. We have work to do.â The warehouse erupts in applause, shouts of affirmation, threats to HYDRA, and anything of the sort.
The men begin to clear out of the warehouse, and Carol motions for me to follow her before walking towards Barnes.
âItâs good to see you again, boss.â She tells him with a smile, one he reciprocates before glancing at me. âI was wondering if Iâd be able to take new girl around for a drive. Just to show her around our territory.â
âThatâll have to wait, Danvers.â Natasha cuts in, before turning to me. âLetâs go.â
Sheâs walking away before Barnes or Danvers, who both share a curious glance with me, can say anything. I only slightly hesitate before hurrying after her.
âThank you.â I mutter once weâre out of the warehouse.
âDonât thank me, yet. The boss will have questions.â
âHopefully itâll be worth it. If it isnât, Iâm gonna chew out whatever unlucky soul is sent.â
âI have no doubt of that.â She replies, and I can hear a hint of a smirk in her voice.
We near one of the doors that serve as an exit to the base, and I see my backpack sitting at the bottom of it.
âKnow you way around?â She asks as I swing the backpack over my shoulder.
âWell enough. It shouldnât be too hard.â I say, shrugging.
âGood. If you do get lost, call me,â She hands me a piece of paper with a number on it. âAnd Iâll sent someone for you. Good luck.â
âThanks.â I nod, folding the paper up and slipping it in the back pocket of my jeans.
She nods back, then walks away. I take a deep breath before throwing the door open and walking out in the direction of the nearest subway. When Iâm a decent way away from the warehouse, I pull out my phone.
âBrooklyn Bridge Park, Pier 2, two hours.â I press send on the text before placing a call, one I admittedly should have done earlier.
âAbout damn time!â I cringe at the tone in his voice but carry on as if I didnât piss him off.
âI thought I wouldnât have any contact with the Family. But everythingâs going well. There was a slight issue, but I handled it and everythingâs back to the way it should be.â I say over the noise of the street traffic.
âWhat issue? And why are you calling in public?â
âI was called in.â I grumble into the phone.
âAlready?â
âYes, but I swear if this is a waste of time, whoever Iâm meeting is getting an earful.â
âIâd be concerned if they didnât. But what issue?â
âItâs been fixed, it doesnât matter, but I need a copy of the contract.â I state firmly, hopefully distracting him from the other thing.
âY/N, you know-â
âFather!â I take a breath, so I donât start arguing with him in public. âI need that copy. If Iâm going to be doing this, I need to know every single condition, and every term.â
The other end of the line is silent, and I know heâs thinking things over.
âAlright. But in turn, when I ask for an update, you give me one that fucking day. Understood?â
âYes.â I mumble, hating feeling like a scolded child.
âGood.â
âIâm getting on the subway, I have to go.â
âI expect an update tomorrow.â
âYes sir.â I hang up the phone and let out a deep sigh before walking down the stairs.
As the subway approaches, my phone chimes and I glance at the text.
âUnderstood. Iâll see you there.â
The meeting place my case officer chose, a quaint little coffee shop, is two blocks away from my stop. The amount of people on the sidewalks has me wishing for my bike as I squeeze in between people, and there are several times I wished to shove the slow walkers out of my way when I couldnât pass. Honestly being stuck in traffic was a bit more enjoyable to being stuck behind of group of gossiping women.
I come up to the corner of the street, where the shop is located, and spot its cute little sign. As I cross the street, I happen to take a glance in the window and immediately find a face I recognize.
âYou got to be shitting me.â I growl to myself.
The door chimes as I walk through, and I head towards the table.
âFancy seeing you here.â I grumble as I take a seat, using the heel of my boot to put pressure on the toes of his foot.
âRight, well,â He coughs, covering up a wince as he pulls his foot away from mine. I smirk to myself. âConsidering I called for this, Iâm not really surprised.â
âWard, you son of a bitch.â I hiss, quiet enough not to draw attention, as I kick his shin sharply. âYouâre an idiot. You better have a good reason for doing this Grant.â
He visibly winces and adjusts himself before clearing his throat to address me.
âAs your case officer, I donât need to explain this to you.â
âYou do when you compromise my position. This was way too early!â I hiss before clearing my throat, remember not to cause a scene. âDo you have information for me or not?â
âWeâll get to that in a second. Look, if Skye was still alive, sheâd want-â
âYeah, well sheâs not here. How does your new girlfriend, what was it, Kara, feel about you still being hung up on your dead ex?â
âDo not bring her into this.â He hisses, before straightening up and burying any hint of annoyance until there is barely any emotion visible on his face. I hate when he does this, it unnerves me how easy it is for him each time. âHere.â He states before putting a thin file on the table for me to grab. âThis is everything that weâve been able to find out about them recently.â
I swipe it off the tabletop and gently toss it into my backpack, without opening the folder.
âHopefully, I donât see you again anytime soon. This better not become a regular thing with you.â I mumble before getting up and ordering a cup of coffee to-go.
As I walk out of the store, I almost bump into a blonde woman that was on her phone. Luckily for both of us, the coffee didnât spill. After a few seconds of hurried apologies, and foreign curse words on her end, I hurry to the station, hoping I wonât have to wait that long for my ride.
When I get to the park, I decide to wander around for a little bit. It feels good to be out in fresh air inside of being inside a building for the entire day. The clouds look fluffy and soft, the breeze is cool on my face, and the sun feels just warm enough to enjoy without sweating to death. I stop once I get to Pier 2 and just find myself leaning on the railing of the pier, looking out onto the river and the skyscrapers on the other side.
While I wait, I decide to enter Natashaâs number into my phone, then letting the piece of paper fall into the water of the river, the safest way to dispose of it. After I can no longer see the white of the paper, I return my gaze to my fatherâs city.
âItâs been a while since Iâve seen you like this.â
âLike what?â I ask, looking towards the voice.
âContent. Happy, even just a little bit.â She says with a small smile while moving to stand beside me.
âItâs the little things like this that make me happy, May. It helps me forget about the mess that is my life, even just for a few minutes.â
She hums and we just stand in silence for a moment.
âWhat have you been able to find?â I ask, breaking the silence and going into business mode.
âNot much. I doubt itâll be much help to you.â
âA little may be what I need. I still have some of her research. At this point I just need anything on him.â
âHaving nightmares about her again?â She asks, concerned.
It causes me to smile, even just a little bit. Sure, my father hired her, but she has always remained loyal to me, more so than to the family. Though, I have no doubt that if she had any concern about me, sheâd go talk to my father.
âMore like memories. Still, they leave me feeling restless because I havenât been able to find a lead on this guy. Skye was getting close, I know that. Which is the only explanation as to why she was killed.â
She hums again. âStill not planning on telling your father?â
I scoff. âAfter he basically called me paranoid for looking into Ward? No. If he finds out I havenât let this go like he thinks, heâs going to ask questions. Questions Iâm not ready to answer. Not only that, but if he finds out I contacted you while on assignment, Iâd get my head chewed off. Iâm technically not even allowed to contact him, yet here we all are.â
She nods with a slight chuckle, then pulls a file out from underneath her jacket and hands it to me.
âIâll keep checking in with my contacts on the street to see if anything new about him surfaces, but until then, this is all I have.â
I stare at the closed file for a moment, before sliding that into my backpack as well.
âThank you again, May.â She smiles briefly before nodding.
âYou should get out of here, before anyone questions why youâve been gone for a while.â I nod and push away from the railing. âOh, and Y/N?â I turn back around. âStay safe.â
âYou too, May.â I call back, walking away.
A flash of blonde hair in the corner of my eye has me pause for a second, but when I see nothing, I shrug to myself and keep going. It must have been in my head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The door to my room shuts and I feel my body sag from the exhaustion of the day. I let my backpack slip to the ground with a soft thud and shuffle towards my bed. When my back meets the cool sheets of the mattress, a deep sigh escapes my lips and I close my eyes, finally enjoying a bit of rest. But, thereâs a knock at my door that has me groaning loudly.
âOf course.â I grumble under my breath.
When I open the door, Iâm very surprised to find Thor standing on the other side with a slight scowl on his face.
âFollow me.â
I do so, hesitantly, letting the door slowly click shut before catching up to him. The walk is silent, and for some reason, I feel uneasy for the first time since I walked in here. He leads me through the halls, and I find myself recognizing where we are going. James Barnesâ office.
Thor opens the door and motions for me to step inside, and I do, trying to maintain a façade of confidence. And Iâm grateful for it, because the glare Barnes wears as he watches me enter almost has me reeling backwards. He sits behind his desk, looking regal, deadly, and in charge. No trace of friendliness shows on his face.
What really throws me for a loop is the petite redhead curled on his lap, her well-manicured nails raking through his hair in almost a possessive manner. The sight makes something churn uncomfortably in my stomach, and by the smirk on her face, she knows it too.
I look away from her, finding Rogers and Wilson in their places behind Barnes, leaning against the wall. Natasha stands off to the right, near the only window in the office.
âDot, leave.â He says stiffly, not removing his gaze from mine.
âBut Bucky Boo-â
âNow.â He growls, ignoring her high-shrieked protest. This is the infamous Barnes Iâve heard about on the streets.
She huffs in irritation, untangling herself from Barnesâ lap and starts stomping out of the room like a child throwing a small tantrum. She brushes past me, giving me the death glare on her way. I simply raise an eyebrow at her retreating form until the door shuts behind her.
âLovely person, Bucky Boo.â I mutter under my breath, turning back around. âI havenât looked at the information I was given, yet. I only just got back to the compound.â I say to Barnes, assuming thatâs what got him so miffed.
âHow was the meeting?â He asks, completely ignoring my remark, irritation still evident.
âI wanted to shove Wardâs head through the window only a few times. So, fairly well, I guess. Still pissed off heâs assigned as my case officer though.â I shrug still not seeing the point of this.
I see Barnesâ eye twitch and hear the soft click of the door closing. I turn around to see the blonde that I almost walked into on the sidewalk from earlier, and everything falls into place. With a click of my tongue in understanding, I turn back around towards Barnes.
âYou had me followed.â I state.
âYelena Belova, Natâs sister, was sent to keep an eye on you. Make sure you stayed safe.â
âHmmm. Interesting.â I hum towards the ground, frustrated that I didnât see that coming earlier, as my hands find purchase on my hips, my nails digging into the fabric of my shirt.
âImagine my surprise when I got a message saying you werenât on your way back after the drop off, but was going to meet someone else.â
âYeah, and Iâm not telling you why.â I fire back stubbornly, my hands still on my waist.
Barnes blinks rapidly, shocked, because I didnât deny it, that I said no to him so easily, or maybe because of something else completely. Whatever the reason, he recovers quickly. A scowl now twisting up his features.
âWe had a deal with your f-â
âIâm not the one that needs reminder of that deal, it seems.â I snap. âWhat I did today, was for reasons you arenât entitled to.â His scowl deepens. âNow, I could give you some information about it. If you were to tell me something in return.â
âAnd whatâs that?â He growls, but willing to play my game.
âThe last crate I picked up on my assignment.â Recognition dances over his eyes. âYeah, itâs about that. Tell me what was in there because I know for a fact it wasnât the shit on the manifest. That was just a cover. You tell me what the shipment was, and Iâll tell you what I was given.â
He clenches his jaw, but doesnât say a word. I wait for a moment before nodding, more to myself than him.
âYouâll get the info the Bureau sent me, once I make sure itâs actually useful.â
I turn and exit the office quickly, no one saying a word to me before the door closes. My nails dig into my palms as I stomp back to my room, pissed off at the day Iâve had. My door slams shut, and I begin pacing the floor of my room. Anger flows through my veins like a fire that canât be stopped. I had at least thought I was gaining some ground with Barnes and even some of the others, but apparently not. The only reason he let me go free is because of that stupid deal.
One thingâs certain after tonight, though. James Barnes is not to be trusted.
For @the-ss-horniest-book-club and our HBC Bucky Barnes Appreciation Days! Today is Beefy!Bucky and I took this cute prompt from Drunk Drabbles:
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/e48340845e68ad5c00aea7b40c2dc700/ff9f5d83b0909120-12/s540x810/16a84ea2cf839b7bcc4ad7b12fe21ec6c4ad0c42.jpg)
This whole situation was wrong.
You couldn't stop, though.
From the very day he had moved into his space opposite yours - across from the pride and joy of your tiny cramped New York City apartment - you only had eyes for him.
He would never know. At least, that's what you hoped. Your curtains were always open now to watch the man doing pull ups and push ups and who knows what else. Muscles tensed in his arms and legs - a show so good you could have watched with popcorn.
He never seemed to have company over. You watched too closely, seeing him up late when you were heading to bed, awake before you, gone for long stretches at a time but always returning. You wondered who he was. An Avenger? Most likely. He lived in the top floors of Stark Tower after all, he must be someone important. You watched, your mind always on him.
It was a busy morning at the Tower coffee shop when you finally came face to face, and the spark of recognition on his face startled you to your core. It had never occurred to you that all of your watching gave him the opportunity to watch you too.
"You live across the way."
It wasn't a question. It was a fact, stated plainly, and you were still staring with your mouth open, looking at him close up and your heart beating faster than you could have ever imagined.
"Yeah, um....yes. I've seen you, through my windows." You clutched your coffee cup, wondering if the ground could open and swallow you up, until he smiled. A slow, small smile but there it was, warming you from the inside out.
"You never close your curtains."
Again, his habit of making statements threw you for a moment. You never close your curtains. A smile played on your lips and you ducked your head a little, no longer embarrassed by your peeking at him but now swimming in the knowledge that by leaving your windows open to see him you had allowed him to see you, entirely.
"I suppose I don't," you returned his smile, "I like the view."
He took a step closer. "So do I."
Lost and found
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader (Professor AU)
WC: 357
Summary: You're new and got lost on your way to your 1st class and end up meeting the hottest Professor you ever laid eyes on.
Note: hiiii its been a while I know >â< I'm gonna do my best to get back on writing again. Anyways this is my short entry to @the-ss-horniest-book-club Character Appreciation Day - Bucky Boo in a Professor au.
I hope you like this. <3
Warning: None
You're lostâŚand very much late. You hated this. Having to adjust to a new University in the middle of the school year. You tried your best to find your 1st class but you end up entering an empty room.
You sighed definitely as you slid on one of the chairs leaning at the back rest and staring on the ceiling.
What a great way to start your 1st day, you thought. Sighing again.
"Well I wish everyone would have that kind of reaction every time they miss my class." Someone said and that made you sit up straight in shock. You turned to look at the back of the room and there on the back is a sinfully good looking man staring at you with his intense blue eyes.
"I-I...uhm... I'm so sorry Sir for missing your class. I...I got lost." You said embarrassed at being caught by your professor and because you're stuttering.
He walked towards you and you swallowed nervously. You feel trapped by his eyes. You couldn't look away.
"You must be Ms. (YLN)." You nodded. "Welcome to our university then. If you want I can help you find your other class so you won't miss them." He said, offering his left hand to you. You shyly accepted it putting your left hand on his outreached one still looking in his beautiful eyes and you shivered.
Electricity ran around your body from your hands upon touching his skin.
You saw him take a deep breath too as his eyes went down on your hands.
"T-that would be lovely, Sir⌠I'm really bad at directionsâŚ" you said looking down too on your hands. His thumb is now caressing the top of yours.
"It's Barnes, James Barnes. I'm glad I'm here then. I can guide you around." He said bringing your hands near his lips as he guided you to stand up. He kissed the top of your hands, eyes still staring straight through your soul and your mind went blank.
And from then on meeting him every after his and your class didn't end there.
âTake a picture. Itâll last longer.â Bucky whips his head around at the sound of Samâs voice.
âHuh?â he asks, clearly confused.
âIf youâre gonna stare that long why donât you just take a picture,â Sam laughs, cocking his head in your direction.
Youâre standing by the elevator with Nat who is doing some last-minute touch ups on your light make up and fixing your hair. âThere. Beautiful as always,â she says, kissing your cheek and shooing you away. âHave fun!â
âWhy would I take a picture? Isnât that creepy?â Bucky asks quietly, still staring at you.
Sam chuckles and slaps him on the back. âForget it old man. Youâre already creepy!â
Bucky scoffs and waits for the elevator doors to close before calling Nat over.
âWhere is she going? he asks, his eyes giving too much away.
âPepper set her up with Matt from accounting. Smart guy. Seems nice,â Nat explains with a bored tone.
âOh,â is all Bucky replies with before getting up and walking to his room.
When you get to the restaurant you text Matt and let him know youâve arrived. The hostess smiles and asks if you want to sit to which you agree. You peruse the menu and try to decide on a wine. Ten minutes pass and no reply text from Matt.
You send a second text asking if heâs ok but after another 5 minutes still nothing. The waiter comes over and asks if youâd like to order a drink. You decline and tell him youâre waiting for someone.
By the time 30 minutes passes and youâve received no replies you feel thoroughly embarrassed and try to get up and leave as discreetly as possible. You explain to the hostess that your date had to cancel and youâre sorry.
The pitying look she gives you makes your heart sink, and you rush outside, calling Pepper and telling her what happened. Sheâs less than thrilled and sends the car to pick you up.
When you arrive back at the compound Pepper greets you with a hug, apologizing profusely for making a poor choice. You tell her not to worry and head upstairs, feeling your stomach grumble and hoping you can find some food.
The common room is quiet other than the low sound of the TV. You see Bucky sprawled out on the couch with the remote resting on his broad chest. You give him a small wave and turn to the fridge, hiding in the cold confines because naturally itâs at this moment you can no longer hold back the tears.
You donât know how long youâre in there before the soft sound of Buckyâs voice alerts you to his closeness.
âAre you ok doll face?â he asks, resting a gentle hand on your back.
You stay in there a moment longer and try to sniffle quietly, wiping away a stray tear.
Clearing your throat, you stand but donât turn his way and walk to the cabinets.
âIâm fine, thanks Buck,â you assure him, but your voice is shaky.
The tears well in your eyes and the dam breaks, your shoulders slumping under the weight.
âHey. Hey doll. Come here,â he says softly, turning you around.
He doesnât ask any questions, just pulls you into his arms and holds you against his chest. You shake with your sobs and fist your hands into his soft shirt. He rubs your back soothingly and you start to calm down, your tears finally drying.
âOk. Who do I have to stab?â he asks with a sideways smile.
You let out a giggle sob into his chest before looking up with wet lashes.
âMatt from accounting please,â you tell him.
His jaw clenches and his grip on you tightens, his words coming out low and dangerous. âWhat happened baby girl?â
âMatt stood me up! I sat alone for thirty damn minutes waiting for him! He didnât even have the decency to reply to my texts!â you snap.
âIâm gonna pay him a visit,â he growls. âBut not now. Now Iâm going to take care of you,â he says much more sweetly. âWhy donât you go change and get comfortable and meet me back here in a few minutes?â
You nod, looking him in the eyes. âThank you Bucky.â
âOf course, baby doll,â he says, wiping your cheeks of stray tears. âSee you in a few.â He presses a soft kiss to the corner of your mouth before gently shooing you away.
You get to your room and rest your back against the door, your fingertips lightly touching the spot he kissed.
When you walk back into the common room you see Bucky standing over the couch, doing his best to position some pillows and a blanket.
âNeed some help Buck?â you ask with a small giggle.
âNah. Just about done, but thanks doll,â he answers. âCome here.â
You walk over to him and take in the scene before you. He made the couch like a small pillow fort and got your favorite blanket out. He has a steaming cup of your favorite tea waiting on the coffee table along with a plate of the macarons you love. He even grabbed your book as well as the remote in case you want to watch a movie.
âSo, I think I have everything we need here,â he says, looking it all over before bringing his gaze to you. âOh wait!â he chimes, pulling off his Henley. He holds it out to you. âIn case you get cold.â
You stand there and look between Bucky and all your favorite comforting things and you feel the first fresh tear roll down your cheek.
Bucky immediately takes you in his arms. âWhat happened? What did I do?â he asks, worry lacing his tone. âIâll fix it. I promise!â
You squeeze him tightly and rest your chin on his chest. âItâs not that at all Buck. Itâs just. This. Itâs so amazing and perfect and I feel so much better. Iâm just emotional,â you explain with a sniffle. âThank you.â
With another kiss to the corner of your mouth he plops down onto the couch and takes you with him, pulling you under his arm and covering you with the blanket.
âWhat should we start with?â he asks with a sweet smile.
âBucky?â you ask quietly.
âYea baby girl? Whatâs going on in that beautiful head of yours? Talk to me,â he says calmly.
âWhy are you doing all this?â you ask, dropping your eyes.
Metal fingers grasp your chin as he lifts your head. âBecause I want to. I hate to see you upset and I want to make you happy.â
You start to open your mouth to question him again, but he silences you with the soft press of his lips. You immediately melt into him, snaking your arms around his neck and falling into his lap. He carefully lays you down on the couch, cradling the back of your neck and parting your lips with his tongue.
You throw your leg over his and move closer. When you finally come up for air you sigh happily as he traces your swollen lips with his thumb.
âDoes that answer your question better? he whispers against your lips.
You slowly nod and snuggle closer, smelling his shirt and giggling when his body starts to shake with laughter.
âDid you just smell me?â he asks, nuzzling your neck.
âI did! Iâve been wanting to for so long!â you confess, inhaling again.
âIâll make you a deal,â he says, tone serious. âYou can smell all my shirts as much as you want if you let me take you out on a proper date. And not just one. I want to be the only guy taking you out.â
You smile for the first time all night. âI love this deal Bucky.â
Series Masterlist
Fire and smoke burn my eyes and lungs. I cough as I struggle to breathe. It was all wrong. This was all wrong. The plan was simple. The ambush should have worked.
But it was all a trap.
âSkye!â
I look for her everywhere. She was just here!
âSkye, we need to go!â My calls are met with silence.
I shield myself instinctually as another explosion erupts in the area. Thereâs more smoke in the air, I canât breathe properly.
âSkye!â
I hear a scream and run towards it. But I falter and stop only moments later when a gunshot rings out.
His arm lowers the gun as she becomes uneasy.
âNo.â It comes out only as a whisper.
This was supposed to be his trap! Sheâs not supposed to die.
She falls and just like that my body is moving on itâs on volition.
âSkye!â My scream startles him, and he takes off. But I donât chase after him, I only run to her.
âNo, no, no, no.â Sheâs gasping for air, a pool of blood forming steadily under her.
I fall beside her, my hands covering her wound.
âNo! Donât die on me, ok?â
âPlease, no! You canât leave me!â
âSkye, stay awake for me, ok?â
âWake up!â
âNo! Skye please!â
âNO!â
I gasp for air as I sit up rapidly. My cheeks feel wet, and my feet feel trapped from the tangled sheets. I choke on a sob as I recall the dream again, the memory. The tears start to roll down my face again. I let my head fall into my palms, the clothes on my body following awkwardly and the feel of the sweat soaked sheets and pajamas register in my mind. Another strained sob echoes in my empty bedroom as I continue to struggle for air, the phantom feeling of the smoke in my lungs makes it feel like Iâm suffocating.
A knock at the door has me sit up a little straighter.
âRissa, are you okay? Itâs two in the morning.â
âGo away.â I croak.
âAre yo-â I grab the nearest object next to me.
âGo away!â I scream as I throw it at the door.
A loud thud is the only thing I hear before the faint sound of departing footsteps. A moment of silence is all it takes to bring me back to the nightmare and I let myself fall onto the mattress, curling myself into a ball. My silent sobs eventually lull me into a fitful sleep.
When I wake up with the rising sun, I turn towards the door to see what it was that I threw. Sticking out of the wooden door is the knife I had resting on the night table besides my bed. I groan and roll to the other side, letting my eyes close. Barnes is not going to be happy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I skipped breakfast and instead find myself pulling out the file that May had given to me while taking a seat on my bed. Itâd been a week since I got it, and I hadnât been able to bring myself to open it. Mostly because I know the file on Skyeâs death would be part of it.
I open the cover and read the only words on the first page.
Alias: Crossbones Real Identity: Unknown Location: Unknown Affiliation: HYDRA
I swallow the lump in my throat and keep going.
May was right when she said she didnât find much. Hell, there seemed to be no mention, no existence of Crossbones until three months before Skye was killed by him. And that fact doesnât sit right with me. How did someone nobody had ever heard of suddenly become HYDRAâs number one hitman? Normally one would rise through the ranks, making a name for themselves, building their reputation. But that didnât seem to be the case with Crossbones.
Unless he already had power.
But it still didnât make sense. I know Iâm missing something, some vital piece of information, but what was it?
A knock at my door interrupts my thoughts, and I immediately shut the file and hide it away.
âYeah?â I call out, straightening up.
âOk, donât kill me.â Quill states hurriedly, shutting the door firmly behind him.
âWhat the hell Q-â Iâm interrupted as he falls back and flops on my bed, completely jostling me as the bed creaks from his weight âGet out!â I growl.
âWait, wait, wait.â He sits up hurriedly, holding out his hands, looking as if heâs close to begging me. I raise an eyebrow, and he flops back on the bed again. âI need help.â
âIâve known that since I met you.â I deadpan. He levels me with a glare but rolls his eyes.
âNo, I need your help.â
âOh?â I question as my eye go wide with surprise. âIf this has something to do with your dick, I swear to god-â
âWhat? No.â He scoffs, as if Iâm being ridiculous. âI needâŚâ He hesitates a moment. âYour advice.â The last couple of words are spoken quietly, as if needed to be a secret.
âWhat could I possibly help you with?â I reply with a roll of my eyes as I lean back against the headboard of the bed.
âUmm, well, thereâs this, ahem, thereâs this girl.â
âOh god.â I groan.
âWait, just hear me out. Sheâs like you.â
âWhat do you mean by that?â I ask with a raised eyebrow.
âWell for starters, she turned me down.â
âShocker.â I mutter.
âAnywayyys.â He says giving be a sideways glare before sitting up. âSheâs really really pretty. And she didnât just turn me down, like you she handed my ass to me. Bruised the ego a bit too.â
âYou didnât call her a bitch too, did you?â
âNo.â He assures. âI was in too much pain to do that.â I roll my eyes. âAnd I wasnât angry, per say, when she did that. Sheâs really hot when sheâs threatening someone.â
âEw.â I say under my breath, but he still hears me, and rolls his eyes. âOkay. But why come to me with this?â
âBecause I really like this one.â He sighs, almost defeatedly. âAnd I donât want to mess this up.â
I sigh, my body letting go of some tension as I do. âYou want to know how to get a second chance.â I say softly.
He nods, looking down at his hands as if heâs ashamed or embarrassed.
âYou know, this is the most real youâve ever seemed. Usually, you just act like a cocky prick around everyone.â He sighs. âYou were in the system, werenât you? What are you trying to protect yourself from now?â
He sits up sharply, looking at me with complete shock. âHowâŚ?â
âWell, it wasnât that difficult. There is more emotion in your actions than youâve displayed before.â When he just looks at me with confusion, I sigh.â MyâŚ, my friend used to be in the foster system. She told me that kids that have been cycled through are really good at wearing masks to bury the feelings of vulnerability. Taught me how to identify it too, though I donât remember how to do so as well as I should.â I clear my throat as I feel myself fidget. Itâs been a while since Iâve talked about her like this with anyone.
âUm, uh, yeah, yeah. Youâre right. My mother died when I was a kid,â He takes a deep breath. âAnd my father abandoned us shortly before that. Cycled through the system a few times before a biker gang out west, The Ravagers, took me in. Then I found myself here.â His smile is tight as he starts to fidget too.
âTalk to her like this.â I tell him, making him look at me. âDonât treat her like some bar babe. She probably gets treated like that anywhere she goes. Just be yourself with her, not some cocky mobster.â
âHow do I do that?â He asks after a moment.
âHow would your mother tell you to talk to her?â I ask softly.
He sighs but smiles softly. âThanks, Maximoff.â
âAnytime. Good luck.â I tell him as we both get up.
He nods at me with a smile and then turns to leave. When the door clicks shut, my body sags, and my head gently hangs forwards with an intense feeling of loss. I miss Skye so much. If she was here, sheâd ask me who I thought heâd be going after. Saying heâd probably chase her like a lost dog. I chuckle at the thought, before a long sigh leaves my lips.
I turn towards my bed before I hear another knock. With a loud sigh, I turn back around.
âWhat now, Quill?â I groan, throwing the door open.
To my shock, Quill isnât there. Instead, Yelena stands, leaning against the opposite wall with her arms crossed. An eyebrow raised in silent questioning, much like her sister.
âSorry, thought Quill came back again.â I mutter, recovering from the surprise.
âDo I look like I have a penis?â She asks in a thick Russian or Eastern European accent.
I snort, a smirk making its way onto my face.
âNo, too much estrogen present, I think. Wanna come in?â I hold the door open as an invitation which she seems to accept as she pushes off the wall.
âBeen a while since Iâve seen you last.â I remark, closing the door.
âI heard you screaming last night.â She tells me. Blunt, I like it. But not where this is headed. âYou threw something at the door too. Figured Iâd wait until you had time to cool off.â
âNightmare.â Is all I answer with.
She nods like she already knew, and I know she does.
âWant to talk about it?â She asks somewhat tentatively.
âNo.â I cross my arms in front of me.
âI know who you are, if that helps.â
âIâm aware of that.â I tell her simply as I feel my stare harden.
âI thought youâd want to talk about the sky or something. Since thatâs what you kept screaming about.â She says, almost as if sheâs daring me to deny it, or if she knows.
âPlease leave.â
She sighs quietly, knowing thereâs no room for an alternative with me. After a moment, she walks towards the door and opens it before she stops.
âEveryone here has nightmares. And it does help to talk about it with someone who wonât judge.â
âItâs none of your business.â I hiss, finally becoming irritated enough not to keep my composure.
The door closes without another word, and I hope no one else comes to visit me. Iâve had enough of people for today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
âI donât like this.â I grumble, fidgeting in place, trying not to draw attention to any weapons I have hidden. Even though thereâs no one watching us.
âRelax, Maximoff.â Rollins tells me, while casually leaning against the brick building behind him.
âTheyâre late.â I muse, pacing the narrow space of the long, and gross, alleyway.
I listen for something to tell me theyâre here, but all I hear are the sounds of the night life of the city around me. Something feels off, and it has me on edge.
âThe boss told us to leave if they are more than ten minutes late, weâve only been here for five.â He says.
âThatâs too long.â I state, leaning against the opposite wall, crossing my arms.
âThe men havenât seen anything. Otherwise, weâd know.â He reminds me, alluding to the five guys we have posted in the area.
âI know.â I sigh. âI just donât like to be kept waiting. Especially not in the open like this. The sooner we complete this deal, the sooner we can stop being sitting ducks.â
âThis is a handoff, Maximoff. Not open season.â
âSame thing.â I grumble.
âWe have movement towards the south end of the alley.â One of the men says through the earpiece.
Rollins and I straighten immediately. Three men causally duck into the alleyway, walking as if they arenât late to this deal, two of which carry a heavy looking backpack. I feel my muscles tensing as they get closer, readying myself for a fight in necessary.
âOur boss wonât appreciate that we were kept waiting.â I tell them when they stop.
âYeah, well our boss donât appreciate the sudden change in location. Makes things tricky.â The guy in the middle replies.
âYou seem to have made it just fine.â Rollins says simply. I smirk.
The guy in the middle scoffs before tossing his bag to Rollins who barely catches it.
âWith HYDRA on your ass, the job becomes riskier.â Another growls, tossing me his bag as Rollins checks the merchandise.
âWho says HYDRAâs on our ass.â I sass.
âSome Staten Island high roller. But everyone knows it ainât the same there without Old George.â The third states, crossing his arms.
âIs it all there?â I question Rollins, making a mental note of what the man said.
Rollins nods, and I notice the men walking off.
âNo need for payment? I question loudly.
They just smirk, a dark look passing between them, and hurry out.
âWe need to go. Now.â I urge, closing the backpack.
âAgreed.â
We barely take a step before the first shot rings out.
We both duck, trying to figure out where it came from before more bullets start raining down on us. With the backpack secured over my shoulders, I pull out my gun as we begin sprinting towards the exit.
âWhere the hell are they firing from?!â I shout into the coms.
Only a moment later, the sound of returning fire breaks out.
âTheyâre blocking the exit!â One of the men yell back.
Rollins and I duck behind a dumpster at the end of the alley, taking cover. I slowly move to peak out into the street when the ping of a bullet ricocheting off the metal has me jumping back. When I spin around, I spot men I donât recognize trying to creep up on us and open fire.
âGet us out of here!â Rollins shouts into the earpiece as weâre pinned down with barely anything protecting us from getting shot.
I manage to shoot three of the five men I can see, with Rollins covering my back, before I hear tires squealing and the last two being taken down.
âGet in!â One of ours calls from the street.
We sprint, dodging only a few bullets before the door slams shut and weâre peeling away.
âWhereâs Williams?â I ask between heavy pants, noticing one of the men we brought is missing.
âThey got him.â Is all the driver says while the other man in front talks urgently to someone on the phone.
I close my eyes in frustration and sorrow, trying not to put the blame of his death onto my shoulders. And as the adrenaline fades, I feel a slight ache on my arm. Thinking itâs because of the backpack, I shift it off my back, only for a hiss to pass my lips, followed by pained whimper.
âYouâve been shot!â Rollins exclaims while the pain begins to flood my system.
I glance down and sure enough, thereâs a slash through my jacket and blood dripping down my hand to my fingertips. I cry out as Rollins clamps his hands down on the wound and try to stop the whimper from me flinching. The pulsing pain in my arm from where heâs applying pressure has my head spinning.
âFirst time getting shot?â He asks, trying to keep me conscious.
I numbly shake my head and try to suppress another whimper.
âAre you hurt?â I ask weakly.
âFew grazes and scrapes. But Iâm not worried about them.â I hum in reply, as my breaths come out harder.
âThey gave us everything, right?â
âI⌠think so. But the question⌠is why?â My head feels like itâs starting to spin, and I feel my body lean back farther into the seats.
âWeâre almost there. How many times have you been shot before?â
âTwo⌠Not any better.â I try to move but he holds me down.
âStay still, ok? Canât you go faster?!â He yells at the driver, who yells something back.
âThe men⌠they probably wereâŚâ I groan after the van hits a bump, jostling harshly me in the seat. âThey were hoping⌠weâd leave the weapons⌠behind.â
âYeah, makes sense. Or they werenât expecting us to make it out alive.â
âEither wayâŚâ
âCâmon. Stay with me, Maximoff. Just a bit longer.â I look down at his hands, noticing he now holds some type of fabric around my wound.
My eyes start to grow heavy and the sounds of the road noise fades and is replaced with a soft ringing.
âOkay. Okay, weâre here.â His voice sounds fuzzy. âMaximoff? Maximoff?! Come on, Rissa fighâŚâ
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
âBuck, we have to call her father!â
âNot yet. Weâll call when she wakesâŚâ
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
ââŚJust trust me⌠Nothingâs gonna happenâŚâ
ââŚIâve got your back, partner...â
There was a constant beeping that seemed to be coming from everywhere at once. But the sound seemed to fade and quiet down. Soon enough, I could tell that the sound was coming from my right, the only sound I could hear. Though my eyes still felt heavy, I tried to open them only to be blinded by white light. I let my eyes adjust slowly until the ceiling became focused. Only then did I turn my head to the left, noticing someone sitting near me.
âSkye?â I rasp out, hoping the voice I heard waking up was really hers, only to end up in a coughing fit.
The person in the chair jumps as I choke on the roughness in my throat. I feel someone move their hand behind me and gently guide me upwards until Iâm sipping some water that soothes the ache. They move the cup away, allowing me to lay back at my own pace.
I look my left, and instead of finding Skye alive and well, Steve hovers over me with concern. I canât stop the disappointed sigh even if I wanted to.
âWhereâs Carol?â I ask, knowing it should be her in here with me since sheâs my mentor.
âJust passed her in the hall. Said she was going to get something to eat. And I didnât want you to be alone if you woke up.â
âThanks Rogers.â He smiles slightly back at me. âHow long?â I rasp, motioning for water.
âJust around six hours. Doctors said you passed out from blood loss. It was a pretty deep wound.â He tells me as he hands me the glass and helps me sit up.
I sigh. âAnywhere else, and I would have bled out?â Steve nods in confirmation. âLucky me, then.â
âWe havenât called your father, yet.â Steve tells me in a hushed voice.
âDonât.â I sigh when he gives me a look. âIf you tell him, either him or my brother would be here in record time. Maybe even both twins. Wait until I get better, then tell him. Heâll take the news much better if he knows Iâm not in a hospital bed.â
Steve thinks for a moment before giving me a nod. I close my eyes to rest and expect Rogers to leave. He doesnât.
âWhoâs Skye.â
I groan, wishing he had forgotten about that.
âNothing more than a ghost.â I say, not even looking at him.
âGood to see you awake, Maximoff.â I turn to find Carol leaning against the door frame with a smirk on her face. I give her a tired smile back.
âGlad to be awake.â I reply.
Rogers stands swiftly and turns to Carol.
âGet her statement and then report to the boss.â He instructs before leaving rather quickly.
Carol gives me a quick look before shrugging and taking a seat in the chair next to the bed.
âBefore I ask what happened, just wanted to tell you that we got an update on the three men who showed up at the deal from a source in the Brooklyn PD.â I lock eyes with her and listen intently. âSeveral blocks down they got complaints of gun fire and found their bodies in an alleyway, each with a single bullet to the head. They found drugs at the scene and just wrote it off as a deal gone wrong.â
I sigh. âHYDRA took them out, didnât they?â
âThe boss thinks so. Thinks HYDRA cut a few loose ends.â
âGreat.â I groan. âMakes it more difficult for us to track down who paid them off. But that was the intention.â She nods.
âEspecially because you and Rollins survived.â She adds.
âNot all of us did, though.â
The two of us fall silent for a moment. Then Carol proceeds to ask me for a detailed account of the deal and what went down, all while listening intently.
When Carol eventually leaves, the quietness of the room weights heavy on me. But at the same time, it allows me to sort my thoughts, thoughts mostly about HYDRA. How did they plan something like this without Barnes knowing? Or without my father knowing? What about the FBI? Surely someone knew. Did Crossbones know about the op? Plan it? Even though I read his file days ago, I couldnât get him out of my mind. He just had to be involved, he seems to hold enough power not to be.
Either way, I know Iâm going to be getting answers soon. All of the answers. But itâs how Iâll get those answers that worries me.
This war with HYDRA, itâs only just getting started.
WOW đ
Office Hours
Summary: Professor Barnes gives you a bad grade and you visit him during his office hours to find out why.
Pairing: Professor!Bucky Barnes x Reader
Word count: 1,853
Warnings: Smut (oral F receiving, vaginal penetration). Swearing.
A/N: This is an entry for the @the-ss-horniest-book-club Bucky Barnes Appreciation days for professor!Bucky. Thank you so much for hosting. Hope you like! Enjoy! đđ gif not mine.
It didnât make sense. Hours upon hours were spent researching and writing this in depth thesis on a topic you already had an interest in and knew everything about. So it didnât make sense when your professor returned your paper with a failing grade.
âI have office hours today after class from 1-3 if anyone has questions about their papers,â your professor announces from the front of the room. It was brief, but youâre certain he shot a quick glance in your direction as he spoke.
Did he know you would want to meet with him?
Once class is dismissed, you immediately jump from your seat to catch your professor in hopes of having the chance to meet with him first.
âProfessor Barnes!â You call, making your way down the auditorium steps.
The call of his name has your professor stalling his movements, a book held in midair waiting to be placed inside his bag. He arches an eyebrow at your approaching figure, and thereâs the faintest twitch of the corner of his lips. Almost pleased youâve come to speak with him.
âProfessor Barnes, if you have a minute, Iâd like to discuss my paper with you,â you say, slightly shy but mostly embarrassed because you usually do well in his class.
âMm,â he hums, âI thought you might.â He turns back to finish packing up his belongings, then turns to you. A head nod in the direction of the doorway is the signal he gives to follow him. âCâmon.â
Silently, you walk behind him out of the room, his office only a few yards down the hall.
âSo, I thought my paââ you begin once youâre in the hallway.
âY/n.â
The sound of your name rolling of his tongue, a bit stern with a hint of warning, has your mouth snapping shut.
âWeâll discuss it in my office.â
Adjusting the strap of your bag because you feel slightly uncomfortable all of a sudden, you remain quiet the rest of the way to his office.
Once inside the studious room, your professor closes the door behind him, the faint click of the lock echoing in the silent space. He gestures for you to take a seat in one of the leather chairs in front of his desk. Sliding the strap of your bag off your shoulder and placing it on the floor, watching closely as your professor discards his own bag on the table. Then, heâs moving to stand before you, his backside leaning against the front of his desk.
Arms crossed and expectant look on his face, your gaze falls to the twisting of your fingers in your lap. Itâs not because youâre intimidated by his presence, well perhaps you are a little, but if there was one thing you quickly learned in Professor Barnesâ class it was that the man is an attractive, Adonis of a specimen, and youâre not blind.
Intense blue eyes stare at you, and youâre trying to find the words to speak, but being alone with him and the look heâs giving you is making you a nervous wreck.
âUh, I was...â you stammer, chancing a glance at your professor, who sits now with an almost smug look on his face, and it spurs your stammering on. âSo, I donât... my paper...â
âYour paper was perfect, Y/n,â your professor says simply.
Confusion warps your features, and you shift uncomfortably in the chair you sit on, the leather squeaking under you.
âThen I donât understand...â
âWell, I guess I just wanted to give you a reason to come to my office,â he replies with a shrug of his shoulder.
Stunned at his confession, wide eyes look up to his which have now fallen dark with desire. He bends down before you, hands grasping the armrests of the chair, caging you in.
âI see the way you look at me in class,â he says, voice low and husky. âDonât deny it.â
And you couldnât.
More often than not you were daydreaming in the middle of his lectures what he looks like under those sweaters. How it would feel to have his lips on yours, how it would feel to have him inside you...
A heat begins to rise within you, embarrassed youâve been caught but itâs overridden by the intense want for the man in front of you. The man...your professor.
âProfessor... I donât...I donât want to get in trouble.â
Thereâs a devious smirk curling his lips as he reads between the lines of your confession, satisfied that you want it just as much as he does.
âWell, I wonât tell if you wonât.â
His lips are drawing nearer, your heart rate picks up and then your eyes flutter closed. Lips, soft and supple, slot against yours and your first instinct is to bring your hands to the side of his face. The kiss deepens quickly, no time is wasted as tongues meet and intertwine together, quiet pants fill the room because youâve wanted this for so long. And apparently he has, too.
Swiftly, he moves you from the chair and places you on his desk, his body finding itâs way between your legs. Thighs clamp tightly around his waist as you continue to kiss. His needy hands move from your hair, to your neck, giving it a slight squeeze before falling to your waist where they grip desperately.
âPlease...â you pant, removing your shirt then his.
Taking a moment, you relish in the beauty of his form. Smooth skin and sharp muscles, itâs everything your daydreams were made of.
âStaring is rude, yâknow,â your professor smirks, leaning down to kiss the column of your neck as he begins unfastening your jeans, which are then promptly removed.
Your professor clicks his tongue now that itâs his turn to gawk at your figure. âYouâve been hiding this in the back of my class all semester?â He growls, running heavy hands up your thighs, lips pressed against the shell of your ear. âI shouldâve failed you sooner.â
The throbbing between your legs is becoming relentless and you need a release soon. Bucking your hips up, you feel the hardness of his length straining against his slacks. The clanking of his belt slices through the heated space, but your professor pulls away.
âNot yet,â he states, running his lips down your throat, over your chest, taking a moment to attend to the hardening buds of your breasts.
Then, heâs on his knees between your legs, and itâs a sight you attempt to commit to memory.
âWanna taste you first,â he purrs, running a stubbled cheek along the inside of your thigh, the sensation creating goosebumps on your soft skin.
Unable to hold yourself up any longer, you fall back onto your elbows, knocking a few trinkets to the floor. âSorâahh!â
The first lick of his tongue along your wet folds has your eyes rolling to the back of your head, mind going dumb with no coherent thoughts.
âOh my god,â you breathe as your professor continues his work on your core. Tongue lapping up your arousal, lips sucking on the sensitive flesh of your clit. A finger, then two, slowly push their way past your entrance, then meticulously pump in and out, creating a pleasured strain in your lower stomach.
âIâm close,â you pant, a hand finding itâs way to your professorâs hair because you want his tongue right there. âYes!â You cry, legs snapping around his head, breathing erratic as your orgasm rattles your body.
Your professor hums in satisfaction as your juices flood his senses, pulling his fingers out to lick the digits clean. Lips glistening with your arousal, youâre desperate to feel more of him, of anything, and pull him in for a sloppy kiss.
âLet me,â you try, continuing to fiddle with his belt until his hands stop you.
âNot today,â your professor responds with an almost feral growl, âI need to be inside you...now.â
The darkened look of lust he gives you has your insides twisting with desire, the pulsing of want returning to your damp heat.
With ease, he turns you around and bends you over his desk. A small pile of papers scatter to the floor when you attempt to grab onto something in anticipation. In one swift motion, your professor is inside you, and you let out a strangled moan of pained pleasure.
His thick cock pushes your core to its limits, straining the opening and testing the tenacity of your velvety walls.
âFuck,â your professor hisses from behind you, and you risk a glance at his form over your shoulder.
Chest heaving, hands gripping your hips, his eyes stare intently where youâre both connected, brow creasing as he watches himself begin to move in and out of you.
âGod damn, doll, this is one pretty pussy,â he chuckles, his bottom lip catching between his teeth and a groan rumbling deep in his chest when he feels you clench around him, a physical response to the pet name and praise.
A mewl falls from your lips as he picks up his pace, the sounds of slapping skin and heated pants mixing together.
âYes, professor!â You whimper, and the use of his title spurs him on more.
He raises a large hand and smacks it against the soft flesh of your backside. The action eliciting another moan from you, and your walls to tighten.
Suddenly, heâs bringing your back flush against his front, one hand roaming up to cup a breast before securing itself around your throat, the other falling between your legs to rub your swollen clit.
âCome for me,â he commands against the shell of your ear, his thrusts unforgiving.
Grasping for anything, you reach a hand to hold the back of his head, fingers tangling in the dark locks, and the other steadily holds the wrist of the hand bringing you waves of intense pleasure.
Tears form in the corner of your eyes, and you try to make a noise, but find your voice has given out. A feeling like no other crashes over you, toes curling and knuckles whitening, you feel your knees beginning to give out.
Your professorâs thrusts begin to stutter, and you sense heâs close from the deep grunts reverberating against your back.
âShit,â he says, releasing his hold on you and you collapse forward onto the desk. He suddenly pulls out and then you feel the hot spurts of his seed coating your backside and lower back. A contented moan passes through clenched teeth and he gives your waist one final squeeze as the last of his spent spills from his pulsing cock.
Releasing himself, he falls on top of you, his large frame covering yours. Sweaty and breathless, you could almost fall asleep this way.
âSo,â you begin breathily, âdoes this mean I get an A on my paper?â
Vibrations against your back indicate your professor is chuckling at your teasing question. He picks his head and plants a messy kiss to the side of your head before speaking in a low voice.
âI think I can arrange that.â
Barista!Bucky - Part Two
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/ba5e1c166c297f93d68234be1e6dbd4d/e9262568d1ddc2f6-dd/s540x810/4fc92818427b169e65d14d3ee2e0baf462cd4be2.jpg)
For @the-ss-horniest-book-club Bucky Barnes Appreciation Days - today is Choose Your Bucky and I'm continuing Barista!Bucky âđ
Part One
No Warnings besides pining and caffeinated fluff, with mild language. My blogs are 18+ spaces, always.
Thank you to @jewels2876 who has been asking for Barista!Bucky and I'm so happy to finally deliver part two. She sent an ask a while ago which will become part three!
'you're the best part of my day.'
Bucky?
You don't even realize you've said his name out loud until your assistant is chirping on the other side of your desk.
"The hot coffeehouse guy? He gave you his number?!" You raise your eyes from the cup to hers without a word, but your expression says it all. "Sorry, ma'am," she mumbles, gathering files in her hand.
Your face softens, and you try to be reassuring. "No, it's alright, I'm just surprised - and you know how I feel about gossip in the office."
"Yes, yes of course," her head nods, as she steps away to leave. "I won't tell anyone."
She closes the door softly behind her and you take a second to mourn the fact that every other assistant in the building will surely hear about how "hot coffeehouse guy" propositioned you via a to-go cup. Then you start to really think about it, turning the cup in your hands to read the words again.
'you're the best part of my day.'
A convincing case could be made for Bucky being the best part of your day as well. You're so busy, from dawn to dusk. Self-care equals a bottle of wine and leftover pizza in bed as you study the next day's spreadsheets. You haven't had a date in months - years, if you're being honest. But every morning he smiles at you, and you smile back, and sometimes that's the only time you've smiled all day. You never really thought about it because work was always dragging you back in. You're indispensable at your job, but success has come with a price.
A quick Google search confirms that the number written on the cup is a cell. You look at your watch, wondering if maybe this is the day to go get your afternoon cup yourself...but your day is packed with meetings and calls, there's just no way. You can't get it out of your mind, though, and sometime in the afternoon (after telling your assistant that you will not be sending her out for your second cup because you don't need her face to face with Bucky right now) you steal a few minutes to type the number into your phone, along with a text.
â
Bucky's on his last break before the end of his shift when he sees it.
'The best part of your day? Are you sure?'
His heart is hammering in his ears. She hadn't thrown out the cup! She didn't throw out the cup and she actually sent a message. His fingers shake over the letters as he types back. This is it, he keeps repeating in his head. It's time to shoot your shot.
đď¸
Your last meeting of the day is ending when you glance at your phone, and it takes your breath away for a moment.
'Not just the best part of today. The best part of every day.'
You take a moment, still holding your breath and a smile spreading across your face. No one's spoken to you like this since...maybe ever.
â
Bucky's walking to his apartment when he feels his phone buzz in his pocket, and he ducks out of the way of the other people on the sidewalk and into a doorway so he can look.
'That's the nicest compliment I've ever received, Bucky. I'm flattered. Of course, I could be light-headed because I didn't get my second cup today.'
He laughs out loud, he can't help himself.
What the hell, he thinks, and starts typing.
đď¸
You snatch your phone up at the sound of the notification.
'Well I can't let my best girl suffer from caffeine deprivation. Why don't you come by the shop, and I'll treat you.'
Staring at the screen, you mull it over. This could be messy. What if this is a huge mistake? You'll never be able to go there for coffee again, and it's the best in town.
My best girl.
Have you ever been anyone's best girl? Anyone like Bucky? You can see his face - that long hair, the beard, his strong arms, the way his hands look when he's operating the espresso machine - why hadn't you noticed before? And why weren't you running out the office to meet him right now?
You drummed your fingers on your desk, a headache from lack of caffeine and excess adrenaline hovering around the edge of your brain.
You know what, you think...fuck it.
It's time to get a life.
'I'll be there in half an hour.'
Morning Goodness
Pairing: Bucky Barnes x Reader
Prompt from @the-ss-horniest-book-club:
Warnings: Fluff, implied smut.
A/N: this is written for @the-ss-horniest-book-club and it's in conjunction with the Bucky Barnes Appreciation Challenge ⤠we love and will forever support Bucky Barnes, our 100 year old semi stable man. About the restaurant thatâs mentioned, I went there last July when I spent three weeks in New York but for the life of me, I donât remember the name of the restaurant.
The bright yellow sun shined through the parted curtains of Buckyâs bedroom. The soft pillows felt like you were sleeping on marshmallows and so did the cloud mattress. Buckyâs right arm was around your waist, your back flushed against his bare broad chest and his stubble irritating the skin on your neck.
It was the first night youâve slept in Buckyâs bed with him. The next step of your relationship and you were proud of that. Youâve been dating only for three months, but Bucky was a gentleman and wanted to do things properly.
Bucky had the whole day planned out yesterday, a romantic dinner at a rooftop restaurant overlooking Manhattan. Cars honking beneath you, the romantic aura in the air created such a relaxing atmosphere. By evening, the bright lights from the buildings illuminated the city.
After dinner the two of you walked around the city hand in hand eating an ice cream before heading back to the compound where you got comfortable on his incredibly soft bed and watched movies. The day couldnât have been more perfect and you thanked him by giving him a passionate kiss before you went to sleep. The two of you cuddled through the night, just the sound of his clock ticking on the wall above the bed, his soft snores and the occasional growl of his stomach, (which every time you heard, you would giggle silently).
And it seemed today would just be as a good, a day of shopping planned and more lunch and, oh-
Your eyebrows furrowed as you tried to figure out what was hard poking against your ass. It couldnât have been his legs since they were tangled in yours, it could have been his metal arm. You shifted back against his arm, only to earn a moan in response. Buckyâs hips lazily rutted against you and then you realized it was most definitely not his arm.
Your hand covered your mouth, desperately trying to rid yourself of the embarassment before he woke up.
âDoll.â His breath fanned across your ear, his grip on your waist tightened and you felt a wet patch on the front of his boxers.
âBuck? Are you awake?â you whispered, looking over your shoulder slightly. You held back your own moan when you could feel him throb against you.
No answer.
You sighed and loosened his grip on your waist. You turned over to lay flat on your back and sighed again. His face was now buried in the side of your face instead of your neck. His fingers lightly traced the waistband of your panties, your breath lost when they suddenly dipped inside and he lazily stroked through your folds.
âBucky.â You gasped, turning to face him to find he was fully awake and his usual blue orbs were a dark shade of brown. Lust and something else you couldnât quite figure out swirled around.
âGood morning, doll.â He smirked, removing his fingers and putting his hand back on your tummy.
âGood morning. What time do you wanna get ready to go shopping?â you asked, believing his fingers were just apart of the wet dream he seemed to be having.
âAfter we do this.â
âAfter wha- oh hello.â you chuckle, Bucky rolls on top of you and slots his frame between your thighs.
âIâm ready to take us to the next level. Are you?â He asked sweetly, sweeping some hair out of your face.
âYes.â you answer in a whisper but unsure if he heard you.
âThank fuck.â he whispered back, kissing down your collarbone. âI wanna do this properly.â
Midnight in Venice
Pairing: Bucky x reader (mob!bucky AU)
Word Count: 940
Summary: You run into some trouble but you know Bucky will show up....
Authorâs Note: This is for the HBCâs @the-ss-horniest-book-clubâ Bucky Barnes Character Appreciation Day and mob!bucky. I think this might be the first time Iâve ever written mob!bucky so Iâd love your feedback! I hope you enjoy this and thank you so much for reading! Much love always! â¤â¤â¤ PS my amazing and gorgeous divider is by @imerdwarfâ Thank you so much! And thank you @nerdypinupcrystalâ for showing me that scene from âThe Gentlemenâ and giving me some inspo!Â
Warnings: in the beginning itâs a bit angsty- being held captive, light fighting and violence, gun shots, but then itâs soft and sweet and full of love and kinda romantic :)Â
The pain in your cheek was nothing compared to the disgust you felt at the man pressed behind you, his slimy hands gripping your hair hard as he held you down against the desk. You had to stay calm and be patient. You had a plan in place in case your husband was late. But he was never late.
Filthy words flew from your assailantsâ mouth and you inwardly cringed when he leaned down to whisper in your ear. âI know you think your white knight is coming, but he ainât sweetheart. Youâre all mine.â
With a growl he rocks his hips into you, and you feel the bile rise in your throat. Youâre thankful for the clothing still separating you as well as the training your husband insisted upon, which you hoped to put to good use soon. Another yank to your hair and you can feel the blade of the knife glide over your cheek, the razor-sharp edge stinging your skin.
You know you donât have much time. Calming your breath, you quickly assess your surroundings and the manâs position. With one last inhale you bring your heeled foot down hard on the manâs shoe and in the short time he releases you, cock your elbow back and into his nose.
The crunch of bone is satisfying as you hear his loud yelp and you swiftly spin out from under him and back toward the door. He is on his feet with the knife in hand quicker than you had hoped but as you inch closer to the door your nose picks up on the faint scent of something dangerous and you hear the melodic whirr of metal. Â
With a smirk and a smooth step to the side, you are out of harms way when the door flies open to reveal your husband with nothing less than a murderous look on his face. He handles his Colt .38 Super with a skill that turns you on, working the pistol with such deftness your assailant is dead with a bullet between his eyes before you can let out the breath you were holding.
He rushes over to you and crushes you to his chest, smoothing his hands down your body and feeling for any injuries. His metal fingers cup your cheek, brushing over the dried blood before he crashes his lips to yours.
The kiss is hungry and hurried, Buckyâs grip on your waist like a vice. His gun digs into your hip and you moan into his mouth, parting your lips for his tongue. He pulls away, breathlessly whispering, âcome on doll face. I need to get you out of here.â
He takes your hand, and you rush into the cool night air, your heels clicking along the cobblestone street as Bucky rushes toward one of the small docks. An old man waits by the gondola, smiling when he sees the two of you heading his way.
Bucky kindly asks him for a ride and pulls you onto the boat, his eyes scanning every person you pass. Once youâre safely out on the waterway, he pulls his handkerchief from his jacket pocket and gently dabs at the cut on your cheek.
âI knew you would come,â you tell him, placing your hand over his. Bucky pulls you into his lap and delicately traces the outline of your jaw, pushing some matted hair away from your face.
âIâll always come. Nothing could ever keep me from you.â He whispers the words against your lips before kissing you, the gentle lap of the water against the gondola the only other sound you hear.
The lights of Venice dance over the calm water as you make your way down toward a hotel for night. âI think youâre going to like this place,â he says with surety. Â
When the boat stops, Bucky takes your hand and helps you up and onto the dock, tipping the old man well. His metal arm wraps around your waist and he pulls you into his side as you walk toward the lavish hotel.
Once inside, Bucky speaks to the manager in a hushed voice before several employees rush over and offer their assistance. Bucky rattles off some demands in Italian and you smile, silently thanking him for requesting some of your favorite things.
The room is spacious and elegant with a view to die for. âItâs gorgeous Bucky, thank you.â You walk over and smooth your fingers down the front of this suit jacket. The material feels decadent under your touch and you ache to peel it off him piece by piece.
âCare to join me in the shower?â you ask, lowering your lashes and toying with the buttons. He lifts your hand to his lips and kisses over each knuckle. âIâd love nothing more,â he purrs before turning you in his arms and slowly unzipping your dress.
The fabric falls to the floor in a heap at your feet, your skin pebbling under his feather light touches. You carefully unbutton his suit jacket, pulling it from his shoulders and draping it over the bed. The small buttons of his dress shirt are pulled tight over his broad chest as you work your way down, pulling the silky fabric from his pants.
His eyes never leave yours as you quietly undress him. His rings are the last things you take off, except for the one on his left ring finger. The gold band glitters against the dark gray metal, perfectly matching the intricate lines that detail his arm. It has never come off his hand since the day you put it on. And it never will.
Pairing: mob!Bucky x fbi!mob!Reader
Word Count: 3,118
Recommended: 18+ readers
Summary: A sudden and unsettling event rocks the underworld, and Y/N is immediately called in to prepare for whatâs to come. What she isnât prepared for is James Buchanan âBuckyâ Barnes, also known as the new head of the Brooklyn mafia clan. When these two get shoved into a world of danger and deceit, will they ever learn to trust each other? Or will they be doomed from the start?
Warnings: Swearing, violence, Peter Quill being a bit of a dramatic jerk, angst, sexual innuendos, bit of tension
A/N: Let it be known that I hate writerâs block. This chapter took a lot longer than I intended to write. But here it finally is!!! All mistakes are my own. The GIF is not mine, so credit goes to the original creator!
Series Masterlist
When the door opens again, I expect three faces to enter, not five.
âYou created quite the spectacle out there, Ms. Maximoff. Quite the way to grab my attention.â Barnes muses as the door clicks shut.
I chuckle softly. âIt worked, didnât it? Besides, how else should I have gained your attention?â He hums thoughtfully.
âYou have a point. Gotta say though, when I talked with your father about our deal, he failed to mention your, uh, methods.â I scoff.
âWell then you truly donât pay attention.â I reply coldly. He gives me a curious glance, while the others tense up. âWhen my father showed you the rat he found, Iâm sure you looked him over?â He nods. âYou ever notice one of his marks was different than the others?â
âOne was, on his thigh. It was one single wound, nowhere near the others. Deep and wide too, I was surprised he didnât bleed out.â
âThatâs because it was purposeful. Made sure to be directed away from any vital nerve, artery, or vein,â I reach into my jacket and grab onto the familiar metal hilt, âwith this.â I state flicking it open. The distinct sound of weapons being drawn filters through the room. Barnes remains calm and unmoving.
âI take it, it was your handiwork then?â He prompts with a raised eyebrow. I hum in reply, clicking the blade closed and returning it to my jacket. Barnes motions for the otherâs weapons to be lowered. âI think youâre going to fit right in. But first, introductions of course. Iâd like to introduce you to part of my inner circle. Everyone, as you all should have read the briefing, this is Y/N Fury. Her father has requested that we keep an eye out and protect her.â My eyes widen in shock hearing this. âIt was part of our deal.â
I scoff. âNot like I canât protect myself. Though, I would prefer if you would call me Rissa in front of everyone else. This situation is delicate, I canât afford a slip up. Rogers, Wilson, itâs good to see you two again.â I smile at the only two relaxed ones besides Barnes. I look to the others while raising an eyebrow. The only other woman in the room steps forwards.
âNatasha.â She says, as she brushes her long red hair behind her shoulder. âNatasha Romanoff.â
I shake her hand and offer her a smile.
âI have a feeling Iâm going to get along well with you.â She smirks, and I smirk back.
The rest make their way forwards and introduced themselves in a similar fashion. Clint Barton, and Thor Odinson, the eldest, he informed me, of him and his brother. The tension previously felt in the room seemed to dissipate along with the introductions.
âHill said youâd have something for me once I arrived?â I ask once silence claims the room.
Barnes nods. âYes, but weâll get there later. It wouldnât be normal for someone to walk outta here with an arm full of shit.â I shrug, realizing just how accurate that is. âIn the meantime, Natasha will take you to where you will stay, as well as tell you what you should expect being here.â He motions towards Natasha and I acknowledge her with a smile. âOh, and Rissa.â I turn back to Barnes.
âWelcome to Brooklyn.â
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When the door to my new room shuts as Natasha walks out, I unceremoniously drop my duffle bag, backpack, and jacket onto the floor. Luckily for me, for many reasons, the Clan members hadnât gone through my things and left them alone in the car. I shuffle to the twin bed in the center of the room before falling face first onto the mattress. The caffeine in my system had run out a while ago leaving me incredibly exhausted. This feels worse than doing an all-nighter for some stupid essay in college. At least there you could find plenty of coffee shops and caffeine refills. Apparently, they donât exist here, or I havenât seen any. I donât want to appear incapable of doing my own things on my first day but I donât have the energy to go searching. With a small groan, I pull out the phone Hill gave me and set a timer for a three-hour power nap.
When I wake, I fight my way out from underneath the covers with a groan thatâs muffled by the pillow. I change out of the clothes I wore last night and into clean ones. I toss a sports bra on, followed by a t-shirt, leggings, and gym shoes. Since I donât know whatâs in store for me, it seems like the best pick. As soon as I shrug my leather jacket back on, a knock comes from the wooden door.
When I open it, Iâm greeted by a woman with a blond pixie cut dressed in a black tank top and leggings. My eyes flit back to hers as I donât look any further. She motions for me to follow and I do so without hesitation.
âIâm Carol,â she starts once my door is closed, âbut everyone calls me Danvers.â
âRissa. Though I have a feeling you already know that.â She smirks. âWhere are we going?â
âYou managed to impress the Boss.â She says, ignoring my question. âNot many people can do that as easily as you did. And not many here like that fact.â
âYou one of them?â I question skeptically.
âI think you earned your acceptance here, but you havenât gained my trust. And while I donât trust you quite yet, I do respect you.â
âFair enough.â
âUsually during this time of day thereâs not much training going on. But since the attack, bars have been raised, and responsibilities have been doubled. Which means more training, and more preparation.â
âSo, weâre going to training then.â She nods. âCool with me.â
âIâll be your mentor while youâre starting out here. Which means Iâm responsible for you and Iâm also responsible for making sure you donât step out of line.â
âIâm sure you wonât have to worry about that. Iâm not here to cause trouble.â She eyes me skeptically. âUnless of course someone decides to piss me off, then I canât promise I wonât punch them in the face.â She smirks.
âI have a feeling Iâm going to like you, Rissa.â
âI would certainly hope my mentor would get along with me.â I sass back, causing her to nudge my shoulder playfully. I chuckle in reply as we approach a set of double doors.
Before the doors even open the sound of grunts, kicks, and yells reaches my ears. When they do open, I understand why. Most of the people in the room are paired in twos, fighting on the mats at the center of the room. The others are scattered around the edges of the room, using various types of fitness equipment to get in shape. Carol leads us over to an empty space on the mats and moves across from me.
âEver spar before?â Carol quips. I shrug in reply.
âItâs been a while.â I grin slyly.
Truthfully, it had been a while since I had actually sparred with someone. However, growing up in the Fury household, along with training at the FBI academy, I knew my way around. I wonât tell Carol that I know how to hold my own. Well, sheâll figure it out. Carol smirks at me before dropping into her fighting stance, and I do my best to make it look like Iâm mimicking her as I drop into mine.
âWeâre going to start off easy, see where your skills are. Okay?â Once she sees me nod, she throws a soft punch at me, one that I easily block.
As we continue, Carolâs attacks become harsher, and her defensives quicker, causing me to match the pace. A gap in Carolâs movements allows me to land a solid punch on her abdomen. She grunts from the impact and stumbles slightly.
âItâs been a while, huh?â She says sarcastically.
âIt has.â I shrug.
Carol chuckles while giving me an eyeroll. We fall back into our stances but before anyone of us can move, Iâm suddenly falling down. I land with a loud smack that seems to echo off the walls and back to me. I wince at the sound.
âOops, my bad.â Someone says in between chuckles.
I turn to scowl at the person, but learn heâs not even looking at me. Rather, heâs animatedly talking to another guy in front of him. The pusher has sandy blonde hair with some type of sideburns. In fact, his whole look is something that resembles something from the 80âs. His companion is significantly shorter than him with dark brown and frosted tips. What annoys me the most is that they donât even seem to care that I had been harshly knocked over. They just keep on ignoring me. I know hazing still exists in clans, but really? I feel a hand on my arm and snap my scowl to Carol. When I notice her, my face softens, and I let her help me stand up.
âPeter and Rocket.â She introduces to me quietly as I return my glare back to the guys. âDonât take it personally, Peter has a flare for being dramatic.â
I scoff quietly before turning away from them. âFelt more purposeful than dramatic.â
âYou were doing good, though. Iâm impressed.â
Before I can respond I hear an âOhhhâŚâ from behind me and force myself to not roll my eyes. I turn towards the voice and see Peter and Rocket, as Carol said, eyeing me. The taller of the two has his mouth open, like he sees his favorite cupcakes or something, while pointing a finger at me.
âAre you the newbie?â He questions with enthusiasm.
This time, I do roll my eyes but nod.
âOh cool! Iâm Peter, but you can call me Star Lord.â He states as he holds his hand out.
âWho?â I ask as I skeptically shake his hand.
He scoffs, looks to his friend, Rocket, then back at me. âStar Lord, ya know, legendary thief?â I shake my head. âOh well. Iâm sure I can have you screaming my name in no time.â He suggestively winks at me as his friend scoffs.
âDude? Seriously? Sheâs not even here a day and youâre trying to get in her pants.â Rocket groans, mostly to himself.
I look at Carol in disbelief and am relieved to see her annoyed expression.
âBack off, Quill. This one has no interest in becoming one of your conquests.â She informs him. Though, thereâs an underlying hint of anger in her words.
âCome on, I mean look at me. Who wouldnât?â
âWho would?â I say under my breath, but the slight chocking sound, followed by chuckles, from Carol has me grinning.
âWhat did you say?â Peterâs whole voice suddenly changes from playful to seriousness, and I grow tense.
âNothing I need to repeat.â I quip sarcastically, ignoring the glare on his face and the worried one on Rocketâs.
âCalm down, Quill.â Carol warns from behind me.
âCalm down? You think Iâm going to ignore what this bitch said to me? Youâre going to defend the newbie? The hell I wil-â
I glance back at Carol as Peter continues his increasingly angry rant and mouth the word âpleaseâ. Carol sighs but nods subtly, before sending me a look of caution. Before I can turn back around, I feel a shove to my shoulder, causing me to stumble slightly.
âYou ignoring me, huh?â He shoves my shoulder again. âYou think you have all of the boss manâs favor just because you brought him some HYDRA dirtbag? You are nothing here, even with your looks, you donât mean anything special. You donât deserve to be here, you deserve a bullet between those pretty little ey-â
As he goes to jab a finger at me, I swiftly grab his wrist and twist until I hear a crack. He yells out in pain before I sweep his legs out and allow him to fall forwards. As he falls, I shift the grip on his wrist so that I can keep his arm behind him. The heavy thud of his fall has all eyes on us, though I donât know that at the time. As heâs sprawled out on the mat with one arm behind him, I place a foot below his shoulder blades and kneel down as my other hand wraps around the base of his neck. He winces as I pull his arm back further.
âMaybe,â I start with a snarl, âif you didnât approach every woman as if she was some sort of object to be collected, you wouldnât be in this situation. I hope every woman you come across serves your arrogant ass to you on a platter.â I let go of his arm, allowing it to flop to the mat. He yelps before cradling his wrist. âNot interested in you.â I say slightly louder than my usual voice, now aware of the attention on us.
I let out a loud sigh before turn back towards Carol. She has a proud smirk on her face but raises an eyebrow at me. I shrug at her.
âPissed me off.â I offer her playfully as she rolls her eyes.
She motions for me to follow her. She leads us over to the various training equipment and informs me that she wants to see where my strengths lie. A few minutes pass while we go over various weights, and types of workouts. A loud bang echoes through the room, startling me and Carol.
âEveryone, clear out!â Barnes orders in a booming voice, causing shivers to travel down my spine.
âYou stay here.â Someone whispers in my ear, but I can hardly pay attention.
My eyes seem to track his every step into the room, while also observing every feature of him. Iâve seen attractive men before, hell, Iâve had to seduce or convince them to give me information. But they donât compare to the sight in front of me.
For once, Iâm seeing Barnes in something other than a business suit, and honestly, they do nothing to show off his impressive physique. He wears a tight t-shirt that seems to stick to his very muscular body, a pair of simple basketball shorts, and gym shoes. I see his biceps bulge and flex as he impatiently watches people scurry out of the room before a nudge from who I now recognize as Clint has me snapping out of my head and walking toward Barnes.
The doors shut with a resounding click, after what feels like ages, as I find myself once again standing in front of Barnes.
âYou know, that wasnât very subtle.â I quip, successfully attempting to cover up my shock, or whatever that was.
Barnes shoots me an annoyed glare but seeing Steve smirk behind him doesnât make me take it seriously.
âMs. Maximoff, you havenât been here a day and I already hear about some trouble you stirred up.â The seriousness in his tone has me quirking an eyebrow at him.
âThe guy did knock me over then threatened me.â I snap back.
He doesnât reply right away, just motions towards the mats, all while still glaring at me.
âIf youâre such a tough girl, show me what you got.â He instructs loudly as he takes his place in front of me.
We lower into our stances and I try to read his expression or find out the real reason heâs here. But those stormy blue eyes of his give nothing away. At least, at first. His hardened eyes soften slightly while we continue to watch the other.
âYou need to be more careful.â He says, making sure Iâm the only one who can hear him.
Before I can reply, he swings his fist out at me.
âThe hell?â I yelp in disbelief as I dodge.
As I stare at him with wide eyes, he motions for me to go at him, so I send my fist towards his abdomen. He blocks it, then pulls me forwards. As I stumble into his grasp, he maneuvers me into a soft choke hold.
âThat a threat Barnes?â I hiss under my breath.
âNo.â He replies just as quietly. âA warning to my ally.â
I manage to get one of my feet wrapped around his ankle, forcing him off balance. I roll forwards, moving Barnes with me as he loosens his hold. When he does let go, I land on the mat before using the momentum of the move to allow me to roll out of the way. When we both shoot up into a standing position, the fight continues. Heâs able to barely land a few hits to my arms and abdomen, Iâm able to strike his chest and knock him off balance. Throughout the fight, whenever he gets close to me, he whispers little pieces of information.
âI made to deal with Fury to keep ya safe.â
âI know.â I say while dodging his hits.
âThatâs what Iâm trying to do.â
âAnd howâs that?â I whisper back.
âWe found things that donât add up.â He grunts as I elbow him.
âA rat.â I conclude before he sweeps his leg under mine. I roll out of the way before he can trap me in place.
âThey may come to you. They may try to use you.â
âShit.â I curse under my breath as I dodge one of his hits.
A grunt of frustration slips past his lips as he misses again, and I smirk.
âGotta be faster than that.â I quip.
His eyes darkened at the challenge, and I almost didnât catch onto it. Almost. I barely see his muscles tense before he launches himself at me, and I find myself flat out on my back with the air knocked out of my lungs. My eyes fall close as I groan from the slight ache from the fall.
âNot fair.â I wheeze as I open my eyes.
My eyes instantly lock on to two stormy blue ones directly above me. In that moment, our position registers itself in my brain. Barnes had fallen on top of me when he knocked me over resulting in him hovering above me with only his thighs touching my own. For a moment, the world freezes, and I swear I see his eyes look down at my lips.
Suddenly, heâs pulling himself off me before stomping towards the doors, Steve hot on his heels, as I prob myself up on my forearms.
âStay out of trouble, Maximoff.â He calls over his shoulder as goes, leaving me dumbfounded on the mat.
